Hi, I am from India. I have been working as a freelance translator for the last six years. I have also worked as a German language specialist in a legal firm. I use SDL Trados for translation and I can translate approx. 3500-4000 words per day. Maintaining quality and meeting deadlines are equally essential for me. I lived in Germany for 13 years, working as a translator and teacher of English. Six years ago I returned to live in the UK, and took the DipTrans examination of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (passed with a merit in general translation , a pass in social sciences and a distinction in Business). I have experience in translation in the following areas - marketing, business, finance, fashion, websites, religious/spiritual themes, medical/pharmaceutical, university papers and theses, social sciences, literature. I am also happy to take on proofreading, editing and transcription assignments. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
